Why the name SocialNatives? Social Natives a.k.a Digital Natives was a term coined by researcher Marc Prensky in 2001 to describe people born after 1980, when social digital technologies first came online. Digital Natives are characterised as having access to digital technology networks and possess the skills to use those technologies. Major parts of their lives and daily activities are mediated by digital technologies: social interaction, friendships, civic activities, and hobbies. A Digital Native has never known any other way of life.
Founded and established in 2013 by passionate marketer Louise Kipling, Social Natives is committed to helping South Australian corporate brands nurture and engage their social media customers in a unique, considered and personal way.
